Three reasons I love purple

I love purple. Always have, always will.
But every year, it gains new meaning for me. This year is no exception.

Grab a groovy purple beyond tnbc png while you're here :)
Here are three of the reasons why I love it so much:

  • Jenny Joseph's iconic poem which has been inspiring me since my teens to relish in the quirky weirdness that is ME;
  • Its association with the crown chakra: "...violet asks us to simply be, because we have always been, and our expansion is inevitable. "
  • Although sometimes debated, it's also pretty much agreed upon as the color for all cancer survivors as evidenced by the American Cancer Society's recent Paint Your Town Purple Relay for Life campaign, which presents no end of purple-ridiculousity.
So from the moment you or someone you know has had a part of the anatomy diagnosed as can't-sir, be it known, you're now officially promoted to Purpledom. Which is pretty fabulous if you ask me.

So, Love, what's your favorite color?

What's your favorite thing about it? Maybe a feeling, an association, or something else?

How do you go about sharing your color with the world?
